Understanding of a place of a region’s or city’s start-up ecosystem within the national territory is important for policymakers and local governments. It supports the development of targeted policies and the promotion of innovation and attractiveness of the region. Our infographics provides an overview of the Grenoble Alpes region while comparing it with France. Over the last 5 years, 215 start-ups were created in the region, which accounts for 5,12% of new start-ups created nationwide. The Grenoble Alpes region is undeniably a land of advanced technologies with 24% of deeptech start-ups, compared to 7% in France.
